Venus Flytrap
Foraged Co-Fermented Pét-Nat
FEELS: Sparkly & Feral
TASTES OF: Bright cherry (think jolly rancher), light raspberry zippiness, hint of wildflower honey
AFTERTASTE: A little bite, then nothing at all
Dry, red, and naturally sparkling. Venus Flytrap is a co-fermented blend of Montmorency cherries, red raspberries, Concord grapes, and wild blackberries — all foraged from the Urban Artifact campus and a family homestead in Indiana. Juicy and bright with a feral edge, it’s made with native yeast and bottled before fermentation finished for a soft, chaotic sparkle.
Pairs well with porch gossip, impulsive decisions, and the feeling you’re being watched.
I’m the winemaker and founder of FRUITBLOOD, and I make all the wines from scratch with fruit grown close to home. I like soft monsters, neighborhood gossip, and figuring it out as I go.
